I just read an interesting study where they found … This is from the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, 2004 where they discovered the vitamin C definitely does have some effect on thermogenesis, on burning fat, with people.
So when people have got adequate vitamin C stores or good levels, they’ve got a 30% greater ability to burn off body fat than people who’ve got low vitamin C stores. This is very interesting. It’s a 15 year old study, but it still shows you that high vitamin C content can have a very good effect on the body.
If you look at the work by Mathias Rath and Dr. Linus Pauling who got two Nobel prizes I believe, Linus Pauling was ridiculed and laughed at by scientists for so many years, but one day his work will certainly be vindicated regarding the vitamin C.
Vitamin C has a profound effect also on the adrenal system. So one of the highest levels of ascorbic acid in the human body is found in the adrenal cortex, apart from the lens of the eye, the cortex has a lot of vitamin C and ascorbic acid.
An expert once told me that vitamin C years ago used to be measured in the body by going to the adrenal gland to see what the levels were like. So, the body needs good ascorbic acid levels also when it comes to the production of adrenal hormones, particularly cortisol, stress hormones like cortisol, but there are many, many hormones made, over 50 hormones made in the adrenals.
So cortisol being one of the more important ones has got a requirement for vitamin C. So, you could also extrapolate that and look that low vitamin C leads to fatigue and more likely to have an adrenal exhaustion which leads to weight gain for many people.
So, vitamin C certainly has affects on the body, not just for boosting immune function up or for improving energy or vitality, but it also has an effect when it comes to thermogenesis, when it comes to burning fat. So just be aware of that, to keep your vitamin C intake high and to eat foods also that are high in vitamin C, especially if you want good looking skin. Thanks for tuning in. B12 deficiency and anemia are micro-nutrient malnutrition, so they are typically because of iron deficiency or because of B12 deficiency or some other micro-nutrient malnutrition. And people for obese have micro nutrient malnutrition in the opposite direction over nutrition so reducing calorie intake is important in which we reduce the weight. A diet does not mean that you compromise the quality of the food we can actually maintain the quality of the nutrition by reducing the quantity deliberately quiet possible someone with the B12 deficiency and anaemia to actually go on a diet and reduce their weight. Make sure their anemia is corrected very quickly so that can be accomplished by inject-able B12 therapy and also with oral or iv iron in the oral iron iv iron. The major challenge with attempting weight loss in you are anemic or B12 deficient is because of poor muscle function exercise may become very difficult, so once we correct anaemia within a couple of weeks good exercise capacity can be restored and you can actually attempt a good amount of weight loss even while you are diagnosed with anaemia B12 deficiency. What is calorie deficit for weight loss? Do you need a calorie deficit for weight loss? Yes, absolutely, but there are a lot of ways to do that.
You’ll learn how to count calories to lose weight. I explain how to get into a calorie deficit, through a combination of diet and exercise. It’s possible to choose one or the other, but you’ll see with the calorie deficit calculation for weight loss that combining both is most effective.
What is a calorie deficit diet? A calorie is a unit of energy and the calorie deficit calculation just means that you burn off more calories than your body requires to sustain itself.
I’ll go through the calorie deficit calculations, and you’ll see that there are many ways to get yourself into a calorie deficit.

This video walks you through the exact way to use B12 shots for weight loss including the benefits and how much you should be using.
If you know me then you know that I’m a huge fan of Vitamin B12 shots. They are probably my preferred way to get B12 into the body. I’ve used B12 shots to help people lose weight hundreds of times (perhaps thousands of times) and I want to share some of that experience with you.
Why do I love B12 shots? Because they get into the body VERY quickly and because I think they work better than other forms of B12 including b12 supplements/capsules/liquid. This is just my experience, though, so your mileage may vary.
But before we talk about B12 shots for weight loss, I want to be very clear. B12 shots are not a weight loss supplement like the way you are probably thinking they are. While they can be helpful in a weight loss regimen, they should never be used by themselves. If you think you are going to give yourself some shots and then magically lose weight you’ve got another thing coming.
If you instead use B12 shots with healthy eating, regular exercise, hormone balance, getting enough sleep, and stress reduction techniques, you are going to have a good time!
With that in mind, let’s talk about the benefits of B12 shots:
#1. Increased energy and decreased fatigue.
#2. Increased metabolism.
#3. Improved sleep quality and depth of sleep.
#4. Decreased depression.
In order to get these benefits you MUST use B12 shots correctly. That means you need to get the right dose. The dose that I frequently recommend is 5,000mcg of B12 every 7 days or once per week.
What you will find is that many weight loss clinics will offer B12 shots but they will only provide 1,000mcg of B12 and give it every 7 days. This is only 1/5 of the dose that I like to use.
Secondly, you have to make sure you are using the right type of B12. The type of B12 that I prefer is methylcobalamin. You have to be careful, though, because many places will use cyanocobalamin instead. Methylcobalamin is pre-activated and pre-methylated so it’s easier for your body to use.
Lastly, I frequently recommend going with a subcutaneous injection rather than an intramuscular injection. Subq injections can be done with an insulin syringe and are less invasive than IM injections.
